For actuaries

Technical training worked to the paragraph, not the syllabus.

SAM, IFRS 17 and IFRS 18 for insurers, each taught from the standard’s own text and worked in rand, for actuaries who have already cleared the professional exams and now need the standards applied under pressure: at a valuation date, in a return, in front of a regulator or a client.

Who this is for

FIA and CERA holders who need the standards applied.

Amatle Institute teaches IFRS and SAM from Johannesburg, in rand, with every classification and every capital charge traced to the paragraph that puts it there. IFRS 17 is open for enrolment now. SAM and IFRS 18 for insurers are priced and built, and open as their lessons publish, the same way every course here does: nothing is sold before it is ready to teach.

What is here for you

Three courses, built for the actuarial side of the standards.

SAM and the Prudential Standards

Twenty lessons from the three pillars through to group solvency: the economic balance sheet, technical provisions, the SCR’s risk modules, the MCR, own funds tiering, the ORSA and the SAM returns cycle. Not yet open for enrolment; ask to be notified when it is.

IFRS 17: insurance contracts

Fulfilment cash flows, the risk adjustment, the CSM from initial recognition through its roll-forward, the PAA worked against the GMM on one portfolio, and reinsurance held. Twenty-two lessons, open for enrolment now.

IFRS 18 for insurers

The presentation questions IFRS 18 raises where investing and financing count as an insurer’s main business activity, for actuaries working the side of the standard the general-industry course does not cover. Not yet open for enrolment.

Why Amatle Institute

A citation for every figure, twelve months to use it.

Nothing here is summarised into a slide. A capital charge names the SCR module and sub-module that produces it; a CSM roll-forward names the paragraph of IFRS 17 that moves each line. Where a standard gives you a genuine choice, both elections are shown as peers, not one as the default and the other as an afterthought, the same discipline a professional exam marker expects. Access runs twelve months from purchase and covers every lesson added and every revision made while the standard moves, so a course bought before an amendment still reflects it afterwards.
