Acceptable use policy
The rules for using your account and the course content. They form part of our Terms and conditions. Last updated 21 September 2026.
1. Your account is personal
Your account and the access it carries are for you alone. A seat bought for you by an organisation is personal to you in the same way. Your account may be signed in on no more than two devices at a time.
2. What you may do
- Watch the lessons in your courses as often as you like during your access period.
- Take your own notes and use what you learn in your own work.
- Quote a short extract with a reference to Amatle Institute, for example in an internal memo or a discussion with colleagues.
- Share your certificate of completion and its verification link with anyone.
3. What you may not do
- share your account, sign-in details or course access with anyone else, or use an account that is not yours;
- download, screen-record, copy, redistribute, resell or publish lessons, worked examples, slides or narration, other than where the website itself offers a download;
- use course content to teach, train or advise others as a course or training product without our written agreement;
- use automated tools to access, download or collect content from the website, or use course content to train, fine-tune or test any automated system;
- try to bypass, disable or interfere with any access, security or usage control;
- alter a certificate or present it as something it is not, including as accredited CPD;
- try to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or disrupt the website for other users;
- use the contact form or our email addresses to send spam or unlawful material.
4. How we detect misuse
We keep a log of access to course content and watch for patterns that suggest sharing or bulk copying, such as one account being used from many devices or content being requested far faster than a person could watch it. IP addresses and browser details in that log are stored in hashed form. Our Privacy policy explains how long we keep it.
5. What happens if these rules are broken
We respond in proportion to what happened:
- A first or minor breach: we contact you, explain the problem and ask you to stop.
- A serious or repeated breach: we may sign your account out of all devices and suspend access while we look into it. We tell you why.
- Deliberate copying, resale or sharing of access: we may close the account and withdraw any certificate issued to it. Access lost this way is not refunded, and we may take legal steps to protect our content.
Before we close an account we give you the chance to respond, unless we need to act at once to stop content being copied or shared. If you think we have made a mistake, tell us through the contact form and we will review the decision.
6. Reporting misuse
If you see our content being shared or sold, or you think someone has used your account, tell us through the contact form or at info@amatleinstitute.co.za.
