Questions
Before it opens.
Before you enrol.
Who is this course for?
Compliance, risk, legal and actuarial people at South African insurers and other financial institutions who need to know what the Financial Sector Regulation Act requires of the regulators and of them: licensing, inspections, investigations, penalties and appeals.
Is this the same as the Insurance Act course?
No. This course covers the powers the FSR Act gives the Prudential Authority and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority across the whole financial sector. The Insurance Act course covers the statute that licenses and supervises insurers, and says where the FSR Act's powers apply under it.
Does it cover financial stability and resolution?
No. Those are in a separate course, The FSR Act: financial stability and resolution.
Why is this not open yet?
Amatle Institute does not sell a course before its lessons are ready. This one is priced and built, and opens once the first lessons are in the library.
Does this count towards CPD?
Yes, as evidence. Your certificate is verifiable CPD evidence: it states the hours of recorded instruction you completed and the learning outcomes of every lesson, and anyone can check it at the verification link printed on it. Amatle Institute is not an accredited CPD provider, so you log it with your professional body (SAICA, SAIPA, IAC, ICBA, CIGFARO or ASSA, for example) under that body's own rules. See what each body publishes.
